The PADI Scuba Diver is the first level of certification. It is perfect for someone that loves the water, but doesn’t have the time to complete the PADI Open Water Course.
There are 5 chapters in the PADI Open Water Manual but for the PADI Scuba Diver course you need to complete and review only Chapters 1 – 3. There is also a quick quiz for each chapter. There is no final exam. You must also complete the first 3 out of the 5 Confined Water Training sessions, where you learn the skills that you will use whenever you dive. Finally you will complete the first 2 Open Water training dives where you will have the chance to practice the skills you mastered in Confined Water.
As a certified PADI Scuba Diver you are now certified to a depth of 12m as long as you dive with a PADI Professional.
